Abdoul Faissal was born in 2007. His father died when he was 4 years old and his mother left him and his sister with his father's family in Sector 6 of Yako. There are 45 people living together in the courtyard which has no electricity or running water. The family walks over 1 kilometer to get water from a well. Abdoul Faissal's uncle is the head of the family and allows him to live there with his sister, but he has many children to care for so he cannot pay for Abdoul Faissal's schooling. Abdoul Faissal has started at the Sheltering Wings School. He walks 4 kilometers to school each day and is very happy that he can be in school. To continue his education, Abdoul Faissal needs a sponsor.
