Saidou 1191MSWSCO13

Saidou was born in 2001. He was living with his parents and older brother in Ouaga. His mother died a few years ago and then this past year his father died in a moto accident. Shortly after his father died Saidou fell out of a tree and hurt his arm. Saidou and his brother had no money for food and were often finding scraps from the garbage to eat. There was no money to have a doctor look at Saidou's arm. Saidou's brother is eighteen years old and in school himself. He cannot provide the care that Saidou needs. A missionary family in Ouaga noticed Saidou and wanted to help him. Unfortunately his arm was so badly infected that he had to have it amputated. This family knew about the Sheltering Wings orphanage and asked us if there was a place here for Saidou where he was safe, supervised, could receive an education and eat nutritious food. Saidou is attending the Sheltering Wings School and is living at the Sheltering Wings orphanage in Yako. The traumatic events in his life has caused his school work to suffer, but we are hopeful that in the loving environment of the orphanage he will thrive. Saidou needs a sponsor to help him continue his education and receive his basic needs.
