Abdoul Fatras

Abdoul was born on August 14, 2019, into an impoverished family in West Africa. Shortly after his birth, his father abandoned him, leaving his young mother to care for him alone. Life for a single mother in these circumstances is extremely difficult. In this culture, men are generally unwilling to marry a woman who already has a child, making her future uncertain.

Despite these challenges, Abdoul’s mother works hard to provide for them by selling peanuts at a roadside stand. Her income is very limited, yet she remains determined to give her son hope for a better life.

During the 2025–2026 school year, Abdoul is in the first grade. He loves going to school and is eager to learn. His mother dreams of a brighter future for her son and prays that he will find a sponsor to help make that dream possible.

Sponsorship donations provide Abdoul with tuition and essential school supplies. Twice each year, Abdoul and his mother would also receive 100 pounds of rice and soap—assistance that would be a tremendous blessing and help meet their most basic needs.
