Abdoul Guani is a bright and determined 4th-grade student (2025-26) who lives with his loving parents and three siblings in a humble rural community. Although his family comes from a Muslim background, their daily life is shaped by hard work and hope for a better future. Abdoul’s parents do not have regular employment but work tirelessly to support their children through subsistence farming during the rainy season.

Unlike Abdoul, his siblings are not able to attend school. Every day, Abdoul walks 2 kilometers to reach his classroom, as he does not own a bicycle. Despite this challenge, his enthusiasm for learning shines—especially in French class, which he enjoys most. After school, Abdoul contributes at home by helping with chores, sharing in the responsibilities that bind his family together.

Abdoul dreams of becoming a soldier so he can protect his country and serve as a positive example for his siblings.
