Abdoul Martin
Some children begin life carrying burdens that no child should have to bear. Abdoul is one of them.
Abdoul was born on April 3, 2014, in West Africa. Life is difficult for his family, who live in one of the world’s poorest countries and have very limited resources. To make matters even more challenging, both of Abdoul’s parents are blind.
His father is a resilient and hardworking man who has always done everything he can to provide for his wife and three children. He was trained to weave cots and chairs onto metal frames and sell them in the local market. Although the income was modest, it helped the family meet some of their most basic needs. Sadly, the market for these products has now disappeared, leaving the family in an extremely vulnerable situation.
Despite these hardships, Abdoul is determined to continue his education. He is now in the 5th grade for the 2026–2027 school year and feels grateful for the opportunity to attend school. But instead of simply enjoying being a child and focusing on his studies, Abdoul worries about whether his father will have enough money to pay school fees for him and his sister.
That is a burden no child should have to carry.
Through sponsorship, Abdoul can continue his education without his family having to choose between school fees and basic necessities. His tuition would be covered through sponsorship donations, and he would receive a school uniform and the supplies he needs for 5th grade.
His family would also receive a gift of 100 pounds of rice twice each year. For a father who is doing everything possible to care for his family, this would provide tremendous relief and help put food on their table.
Would you consider becoming a sponsor for Abdoul? Your support could give him the opportunity to stay in school, pursue his dreams, and experience the hope and security that every child deserves.
Thank you for opening your heart to Abdoul and his family and for considering making a lasting difference in their lives.
