Hello, my name is Adeline.  I come from a Catholic family. I live with my parents and my five brothers and sisters in a small home that doesn’t have either running water or electricity.  The closest well is a little less than a kilometer away.  Neither one of my parents has a regular job, but they do their best to make a little bit of money and we have a small family farm where we try to grow the food that we will eat throughout the year.

Somebody in my family normally takes me to school and then picks me up in the afternoon, too.  It’s not too hard because we live really close.  My favorite subject is math. I really like learning my numbers.  After school, I like to help around the house or play marbles with my neighbors.  When I’m all grown up, I want to become nurse!
