Ali is a bright and energetic third grader (2025-26) who lives with his maternal grandmother in a large family compound. Though both of his parents are alive, they are separated, and his grandmother lovingly cares for him and his two siblings, who also attend school. Life in their home comes with its challenges—there is no running water, and each day Ali walks to school, as his family cannot afford a bicycle. Despite these difficulties, Ali approaches life with determination and hope. His favorite subject is geography, and he dreams of the world beyond his village, eager to learn about new places and cultures.

After school, Ali enjoys going on small hunts or playing soccer with his friends, finding joy in simple moments. He is motivated by a big dream: to become a doctor when he grows up, aspiring to help others and make a difference in his community. Ali comes from a Muslim family, and his story is one of perseverance and faith.
