Hello, my name is Anissa.  I come from a Muslim family.  I live with my mother in a small home that does not have either running water or electricity.   The closest well is about a kilometer away from our home.  My father is a business man, so he has a little shop where he sells things.   We also have a small family farm where we try to grow the food that we eat throughout the year.

I walk about a kilometer to school each morning and evening.  I could really use a bike to make it easier.  History/Geography class is my favorite! After school, I study my lessons or play hide and seek with my friends. I also have to do some work around the house to help my mom out. When I’m all grown up, I want to become a teacher!
