Not all children live in security and safety. Some live near borders where the threat of terrorism is a frightening reality. Blandine was born in 2019 and has faced many challenges.

For Blandine and her family, that threat recently became their reality. They had to evacuate their home in haste and flee to a safer locality. For now, Blandine and her family are staying with extended family, uncertain about whether they will be able to return home. Their home is also where they have fields where they grow corn and beans to help feed their family.

Young Blandine simply wants what every child deserves: a normal life where she can play with her friends and go to school. This year, 2026-2027,  Blandine is in the 2nd grade, but her parents are struggling to afford the school fees she needs to continue her education.
