Cheik Hamad Kouda is a bright and determined 8th grader (2024-25) who lives with his parents and three siblings. Though his family faces many challenges, they are united by love and faith. Neither of Cheik's parents has a job, but they work diligently on their family farm, growing food during the short growing season to sustain them throughout the year. Despite having no electricity, the family is fortunate to have running water, which eases some of their daily burdens. Cheik Hamad is a dedicated student who walks approximately 3 kilometers to school every day. His favorite subject is math, and he dreams of becoming a soldier when he grows up. After school, he enjoys playing soccer with his friends and studying to improve his skills. Coming from a Christian family, Cheik's life is guided by strong moral values and a sense of purpose. Sponsoring Cheik would not only support his education but also empower him to achieve his dreams and build a brighter future for himself and his family.
