Cheik Ousmane Sankara is a bright and energetic kindergartener attending school for the 2024-2025 academic year. Despite the challenges he faces, Ousmane's determination and zest for life are truly inspiring. He lives with his loving parents and three siblings, where they cultivate a farm during the rainy season. Though his parents do not have regular jobs, they work hard trying to sustain themselves for the whole year. Their home, modest and without modern conveniences such as running water or electricity, is blessed with a well only 100 meters away. Each day, Ousmane walks a kilometer to school, showing his commitment to his education and his dream of becoming a doctor.

Ousmane's aspirations are as big as his heart. Despite the lack of a bicycle which means he walks to school daily, he never complains. His days are filled with learning and play, enjoying games like hide and seek or soccer with his friends in the neighborhood. These activities not only bring joy to his life but also build his social and physical skills. Ousmane's dream of becoming a doctor stems from his desire to help others and make a difference in his community.
