Hello, my name is Cherifatou. I come from a Muslim family. I was born on January 10, 2013. I live with my parents and my six brothers and sisters. We have a small home that does not have any running water. The closest well is about a kilometer away. Neither one of my parents has a regular job, but we have a small farm field where we grow the food that we will eat. Sometimes it is hard because the growing season was not good. I walk about five kilometers to get to school each morning. Then I walk that same distance home again in the afternoon. This year (2021-22), I am in the third grade. Reading is my favorite subject. After school, I have to wash the dishes. When I am done, I like to throw stones with my friends. When I grow up, I would like to become a teacher.
