Cherifatou is a resilient young lady who was born in West Africa in 2011. When she was just eight years old, her father passed away, leaving her mother to raise Cherifatou and her two brothers.

Cherifatou works hard to help her mother by taking on additional responsibilities at home, including doing laundry, cooking, and fetching water from the community water pump.

Her mother once worked as a school secretary, and as an employee, she was able to enroll her children in the school at no cost. Unfortunately, when the school closed, her mother lost her job. She now relies on occasional work and odd jobs to provide for her family. Meeting the basic needs of the household is already a struggle, making it nearly impossible to afford school tuition and supplies.

Despite these challenges, Cherifatou has remained committed to her education. During the 2026–2027 school year, she is in the 10th grade, a wonderful reflection of her determination and hard work. She worries that her mother may not be able to afford the school fees and required supplies needed for her to continue.

Sponsorship can change that.

A sponsorship donation would provide Cherifatou with tuition, a school uniform, and necessary school supplies, allowing her to remain in school and continue working toward her dreams.
