Hello, my name is Elodie.  I come from a Catholic family. I live with my parents and my younger sibling in a small home that doesn’t have electricity or running water, so we have to go to the well which is less than half a kilometer away.  Neither one of my parents has a regular job, but they do their best to make a little bit of money and we work together on our small family farm where we try to grow the food that we will eat throughout the year.

Somebody in my family normally takes me to school and then picks me up in the afternoon, too.  It’s about half a kilometer each way.  After school, I like to help around the house or build things with my neighbors.  When I’m all grown up, I want to become a teacher!
