Eric lives with his grandmother. His mother left him when he was two years old. His parents have never been married. His father has other children with another woman, but Eric does not get to see them very often.His grandmother is quite old and has trouble providing for him, but Eric does what he can to help her and she does what she can to give him a safe place to grow up. Eric has no running water or electricity in his grandmother’s home, but there is a wall for security. Some of what Eric does to help his grandmother is running to the well to get water for the day.Eric has been given a place in Sheltering Wings’ Primary School. He lives about two and a half miles from the school, but he has no bike to help him get there. As a sponsor, a bike might be a good gift to give.
