Hello, my name is Esther Cherifatou. I come from a Muslim family. I was born on February 15, 2014. I live with my mother because my father abandoned her when she got pregnant. She is still in her last year of high school. We have a small home that does not have either running water or electricity and the closest well is about 2 kilometers away. That is a long distance to travel when you need to bring all of your water for the day back with you.I walk about a kilometer to get to school each day. This year (2021-22) I am in the second grade. I like all of my subjects in school, but math is my favorite. After school, I like to help my mother around the house and then play jump ropes with my friends. When I am all grown up, I would like to become a teacher.
