This is Faoziatou. She was born March 14, 2012.  She comes from a Muslim family. Both of her parents are still alive, but she lives with her aunt in a small home that does not have running water or electricity.  Her parents do not have regular jobs but have a small farm where they try to grow the food that they will eat throughout the year.  Faoziatou enjoys playing hide and seek with her friends and cousins.  Her dream is to work in a hotel when she grows up.

Faoziatou was born deaf and mute.  In Faoziatou’s culture, this is seen as a curse.  She will have very few opportunities in life. She will never realize her dream of working in a hotel.  

Through sponsorship, Faoziatou can go to school.  There is a spot in a school for the deaf for her.  With your help, Faoziatou can have a future.  More than that, she can see that she has value and is loved by God and by you.
