Hello, my name is Maeva. I was born on November 22, 2015. I live with my parents and my older brother in a small home without electricity or running water. We need to go to the well several times each day to get enough water for all of the cooking and the cleaning that we do. Luckily, it is very close to our house. Sometimes, I get to go with my mother and play with the other children while we wait for our turn. When we have chores to do, I like to sweep our yard and make it clean. My parents take me to school each day. We walk about a kilometer each way to get there. This year (2020-21), I am in kindergarten, so I am learning all of my colors and numbers. We have learned a lot of new games and read lots of books. I really like playing with all of my friends, especially when we play hopscotch!
