Maiguoin 2363FSINI21
Maiguoin is a precious little girl who will never know her father. She is just seven years old, but her father died when she was still a baby. Maiguoin and her mother live with her father’s extended family. Their small house is made of mud bricks. Heavy rains cause damage to the structure even causing it to collapse after repeated damage. There is no running water or electricity. Her mother cooks outside over an open fire. She plants corn, beans and peanuts. When the rains are plentiful, she is able to grow enough food to feed her family. Often, however, there is either not enough or too much rain and the harvests are poor. These conditions cause food insecurity. Sometimes food does not last until the next harvest. Life in this harsh climate is full of struggles. Maiguoin's mother sacrifices to send her to school. School fees are low, but this added expense makes her mother worry that she will be able to keep her in school. She knows the value of an education and will do all she can to provide one for her daughter. This year (2021-2022) Maiguoin is in first grade. She loves going to school and is excited to learn how to read. It would be a huge blessing to this family if Maiguoin could find a sponsor. Sponsorship donations are just $35 a month. Less than the price of a cup of coffee. This donation covers tuition, school supplies and basic medical care. Twice a year, Maiguoinu's family would receive 100 pounds of rice and other practical items. Would you consider being her sponsor? It would make such a difference in the life of this little girl and her mother! Thank you.
