Meet Mamounata Kalaga:

Mamounata is a bright and determined 4th-grade student (2024-25) who lives with her mother and grandmother. Despite the challenges she faces, such as living in a courtyard with 16 people and having no running water, Mamounata remains optimistic and dedicated to her studies. She enjoys math and dreams of becoming a nurse one day. After school, she loves playing marbles or helping with household chores. Her resilience and positive attitude are truly inspiring.

Mamounata's parents are alive, but her father lives in another village with his other wife and children. Despite these circumstances, Mamounata is supported by her grandmother and the community. They have electricity, and the school is 800 meters away, which she can easily reach. Mamounata's story is a testament to her strength and determination to achieve her dreams despite the obstacles she faces.
