Hello, my name is Messak. I am a Protestant. I was born in 2007. I live with my parents and my six siblings. Neither one of my parents has a regular job, but we have a family farm where we grow the food that we will eat throughout the year. They will also try to make a little bit of money during the dry season by doing odd jobs for people. There is no running water or electricity in our home. We need to go to the well every day to get all of the water that we will use for our cooking, cleaning, and drinking. It is over a kilometer away from our home. My family cannot afford to let me use a bike, so I walk about a kilometer and a half each way to get to school. This year (2021-22), I am in the 9th grade. I enjoy school a lot. French class is my favorite. When I am all grown up, I dream of becoming an ambassador, so I need to keep working hard on my languages and in school in general.
