Meet Nassiratou Ouedraogo, a bright and determined 7th grader (2024-25). Despite the challenges she faces living in a home without electricity, Nassiratou's spirit remains undaunted. She lives with both of her parents and her five siblings in a modest home near her school, making the walk to and from classes a pleasant and convenient daily routine. Although her parents are unemployed, they tend to a small farm where they grow food to sustain the family.

Nassiratou has a keen interest in history and geography, finding joy and inspiration in learning about the world and its diverse cultures. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys playing marbles and helping her family by washing the dishes after school. With dreams of becoming a teacher, Nassiratou is committed to her education and hopes to one day inspire and educate the next generation.
