Hello, my name is Neimata.  I come from a Muslim family.  Both of my parents are living, but I live with my grandparents in a large family compound.  There are over thirty family members that live with us.  There is no running water or electricity in our home.  The well is about two kilometers from our home.  No one in my family has a regular job, but we do what we can to earn a little money and we have a small family farm where we try to grow the food that we eat throughout the year.

My favorite subject is French.  I like being able to read and write.  After school, I like to play games with my cousins or neighbors.  I also have to do my homework and help out around our house.  When I’m a grown up, I’d like to work for the government.
