Pingwende 2967FYAKO26
Pingwende is a bright and cheerful fifth-grade (2025-26) girl living with her parents and two siblings in a modest home nestled in a small village in West Africa. Without running water or electricity, daily life presents many challenges, yet Pingwende’s family is tightly knit and full of love. Her father and mother work hard as small-scale farmers during the rainy season, doing their best to provide for their children, though they do not have steady jobs. Water comes from a nearby well, and one of Pingwende’s siblings is also in school, while the other helps at home. Despite the hardships, their faith in Christ brings them hope and comfort every day.
School is a special place for Pingwende, who walks there each day with a heart eager to learn, even though she wishes she had a bike like some of her friends. She especially loves math and dreams of becoming a teacher, hoping one day to inspire others in her community. After class, she helps her mother wash dishes or plays marbles with friends, always smiling with gratitude for the simple joys in her life. Pingwende’s strong Christian faith shapes her dreams and her gentle spirit, reminding her that with prayer and support, brighter days are ahead.
