Rasmata was born in 2005. She has three brothers and three sisters. The all live with both of their parents in Sector 2 of Yako. Her parents are farmers and have no further education or means of income. There is no electricity or running water in their courtyard. For their cooking, drinking and washing needs, they walk a long distance several times a day in order to get water from a communal pump. Rasmata is the only child in her family to be able to get an education because her parents are unable to afford for more of their children to attend. She is at the Sheltering Wings School. She walks to school each day. It is 3 kilometers each way which makes for a very long day for Rasmata. She is enjoying school and working hard.
