Reine was born in 2002. She lives with her 4 siblings and her mother in sector 7 of Yako where there is no running water or electricity. Reine's father left the family to find work in Cote Ivoire, a neighboring country to Burkina Faso. He has not sent any money back to the family or visited them in a long time. The mother cultivates so that the family has food to eat, but otherwise life has been difficult. Reine has been given a place at the Sheltering Wings School. She walks 7 kilometers every day to school. It is critical for Reine to find a sponsor so that she can continue her education.
