Hello, my name is Sakinatou. I come from a Muslim family. I was born in 2010. I live with my parents and my six brothers and sisters. We have a small home that does not have any running water. The closest well is about a kilometer away. Neither one of my parents has a regular job, but we have a small farm field where we grow the food that we will eat. Sometimes it is hard because the growing season was not good. I walk about five kilometers to get to school each morning. Then I walk that same distance home again in the afternoon. This year (2021-22), I am in the fifth grade. Math is my favorite subject, but I really like jumping ropes with my friends during recess. After school, I study for my lessons and help my mother with the dishes. When I grow up, I would like to become a nurse.
