Sakinatou is a joyful and determined 4^th grade girl (2025-26). Born in 2015, she now lives with her loving grandmother, even though both of her parents are alive. Life is challenging in her neighborhood—her family doesn’t have running water or electricity, and their courtyard lacks a wall for protection and to keep their animals safe.

Every morning, Sakinatou puts on her school uniform and walks about a kilometer to school. Although she doesn’t have a bicycle, she doesn’t let that stop her enthusiasm for learning. Math is her favorite subject, and she eagerly participates in class, hoping each lesson brings her closer to her dreams. After school, she helps her grandmother by washing dishes, then has fun playing marbles with her friends.

Sakinatou’s faith and hope are strong. She dreams of becoming a seamstress one day, using her skills to help her family and community.
