Hello, my name is Sarata.  I come from a Muslim family.  I live with my parents and my older sibling in a large family compound, so we always have lots of cousins around to play with! Neither one of my parents has a regular job, but they do their best to make a little bit of money and we work together on our small family farm where we try to grow the food that we will eat throughout the year.

Somebody in my family normally takes me to school and then picks me up in the afternoon, too.  It’s about two kilometers each way.  My favorite subject in school is math! After school, I like to help around the house, study my lessons, or play hide and seek with my neighbors.  When I’m all grown up, I want to become a nurse!
