Meet Yassia Amir, a young boy born in one of the poorest countries in West Africa.

When Yassia was just a baby, his father passed away after a long illness. At the time, his mother was employed, but shortly after losing her husband, she also lost her job. Suddenly, she was faced with the enormous responsibility of providing for herself and her three young children.

Seven years later, Yassia’s mother continues to take occasional work whenever it is available. His oldest brother has even had to leave school to help support the family. Despite everyone doing their part to make ends meet, there is a constant concern that Yassia and his sister may not be able to continue their education—a priority that is very important to their mother.

Yassia is now in the 4th grade for the 2026–2027 school year, while his sister is in the 10th grade.

Finding a sponsor for Yassia would provide his school tuition, necessary school supplies, and 100 pounds of rice for his family twice a year. This support would bring tremendous relief to the entire family and help give Yassia the opportunity to remain in school and continue building a brighter future.
