Zara Sawadogo is a bright and ambitious second grader for the 2024-25 school year. Born in 2016, she lives with her parents in a large multigenerational home. Their home lacks basic amenities such as running water and electricity, which makes daily life a challenge. The nearest well is about 400 meters away, so fetching water is a regular task for the family. Despite these hardships, Zara's family works together on their small farm, as neither of her parents has a regular job. This unity is a testament to their resilience and teamwork.

Each day, Zara walks approximately two kilometers to get to school, as she does not have a bicycle. Her favorite subject is math, and she excels in it with great enthusiasm. After school, when she isn't helping her family by washing dishes or studying, Zara loves to play hide and seek with her friends. Her dream is to become a teacher when she grows up, inspired by her love for learning and her desire to educate others.
