FAMILY MISSION
Both in family and church the Soledad-Ellis clan is focused on planting Biblical truth in people's lives, explaining the Bible on a level each individual can understand, and teaching them how to grow in and share their faith. On how Jesus was a real person, the Son of God, who really lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and raised from the dead! That the Word of God is perfect, can be explained using Itself, and that science points to a Creator.
Please pray the people of Cd Juarez open their hearts and minds to the truth of the Gospel!
TRAINING AND MINISTRY
Carlos has extensive theological training and has served in many capacities in several churches in Cd. Juarez. From 2017-2025 Carlos taught fifth grade English, and for 2 of those years also pastored Good Shepherd Church. Carlos transitioned in July of 2025 to full time pastoral ministry! Praise God! He has had more time to visit members, create events, and invite the community into the church. He is also an integral part of homeschooling Job, Levi and Malachi.
Please pray for Carlos as he leads in his home, church, association of churches and community.
Sarah felt called to Juarez in 2015 during a missions trip and interned in a children's home for 6 months in 2016. This is where she met Carlos, who worked there, and they married in April of 2017. In Good Shepherd Sarah oversees the children's ministry. Sarah knows a handful of young ladies with difficult home lives who lack resources and are many times vulnerable to domestic violence. These ladies reach out, many times in desperate need.
Sarah has been working in El Paso since October of 2024. First in an assisted living center and now, March 2026, in private home healthcare.
Please pray for Sarah as she balances being a working mom and also seeks God on how and when to help these young ladies who sometimes find themselves in emergency situations.
GOOD SHEPHERD BIBLE CHURCH
Carlos is both pastor and worship leader at Good Shepherd Bible Church, which has a regular attendance of 10, and irregular attendance of 15.
This church is part of an association of 4 churches who support one another in prayer, finances and events. Carlos has been instrumental in pushing for evangelism, encouraging these churches to have an ordained pastor, and putting on training events for their members. Please pray for continued strength, unity and longevity in the leadership of these churches included in our association.
CONSTRUCTION PLANS
There are high hopes for the Good Shepherd property, that it could be rebuilt and able to host more people for church and events.
