Christine has been a widow for several years. She has had two husbands, but both have died. Her children are grown and do not live nearby. She used to do weaving to support herself and her family. In recent years she has developed a problem with her feet which prevents her from weaving. She now strives to support herself by selling peanuts. It is just not enough to cover her meager expenses.
